New York RIPS
I worked as a site monitor for my last job, which required I travel all over the city inspecting agencies that fed the poor and homeless. I was out of the office 4 days a week trooping all over the city, taking buses and trains, and the rest on foot. Aside from interviewing and inspecting records, I was to take pictures of the facilities. For that I was provided a digital camera, and when I got tired of taking graffitti pictures all over the outer bouroughs, I began to snap the RIP walls. Aside from providing a chill reminder of what looms for us all, it also represents street art a world away from what's out there, ie graff, and "street" art. With that said, RIP to those who past.

Death of Krylon

The "Old" cans

"New Cans"
Wal-Mart, Reading, PA November 2008
It was true. What my friend had told me a few weeks ago, that Krylon was no longer using its regular caps, really did happen. I happened to stop by Wal-Mart, where I always used to get Krylons for the magical price of $2.97, and they had new colors and new looking cans with dildo shaped tops. These new cans had the male caps making them useless. Damn. I have never been one to paint with Montana or the other fancy paints, so I took a big hit. Liking to paint clean, Krylon always worked for me with the grey german skinnys. They had a few remaining "old" cans. I grabbed 12 of them and made my way out the walmart. Goodbye Krylon.
