Bushwick!

"Chucky"-Bushwick Ave, Brooklyn, NY
My old neighbor holding it down. I rode by my old street the other day and the only thing I could recognize was him. The apartment we got kicked out from, is now an....unaffordable "luxory" rental unit nicer and cleaner than I could have ever imagined. The rats and garbage no longers line the streets, but then again, I am no longer there. Got priced out. The bodega that used to sell cigs and beer now sells organic cereal and grapes. At least Chucky is still holding the stoop down. For now. Until he too gets priced out. And t-shirts like these will be athing of the past.

Why NY is Special

South 5th, Btwn Wythe and Berry, Williamsburg, NY
Its not every day you see human shit with a paper napkins on the sidewalk. Thats why I took this flic. People taking shits inbetween parked cars on the sidewalk is no good. Bad, bad, bad. Next time, walk into a bar, look like you're gonna order a drink, but use the shitter instead. It would save you the embarassment of being caught on the stree with your pants down. But that again, if you are ballsy enough to do so in the first place, you are probably that asshole that yells "Hey! What the fuck you looking at?!?" when people stare and just don't give a fuck anymore.

And Mullets

Hewes JM Stop- Brooklyn NY
I know I'm getting off course with this one, but a classic none the less. Nah mean? It ain't no car crash or run over pedestrians, but then again that's not what life is all about, is it?

Arrests!

I have no idea where this happened. Submitted by Nick Z

"?" Brooklyn, NY- August 2008
As I was dumping an old couch in front of my apartment I saw a cop car slowing down and looking my direction. I was sure I was gonna get a ticket for dumping, but instead he stopped in front of an old, drunk looking, puerto rican couple that had just passed me on the sidewalk. I then saw the guy toss something on the street, while the cops got out and arrested him. Nothing crazy, but it happened in front of my place. The sad thing was that three hours later, the woman that had been with the guy, was sitting against the wall where the arrest had taken place. Needless to say, she looked devastated.

More Dirt on the Train

J to Brooklyn, Brooklyn, NY August 2008
All this train riding is making me see shit. Here I am on a train and all of a sudden I see this young girl digging the dirt out of her boyfriend's finger nails with A FUCKING METRO CARD! Damn! What I need is an ipod for my eyes on these train rides.

Jamaica Center Station, Jamaica, Queens August 2008
Ha! I saw this white dred arguing with these cops for a while, until they said, "open your bag!" The dred was pissed. I ran up the stairs and took this picture from above. Like a ninja.

Give it to me.

Jamaica, Queens
The Bloods leave their mark. "Cop Killers"

Manhattan Bound J Train- Queens, August 2008
Of all the things I have seen on the train this is probably one of the nastiest. I was on the train coming back from Queens and the girl in front of me starts popping the zits of this here ol feller. After she switched sides the get the ones on the other side of his face I had to pull out my phone. Coincidently, he too, took out his cellphone to make a call, while she continued popping. Despite their complete disregard for anything civil, I took joy in knowing that I got away with good flics.

Brownsville, Brooklyn-August 2008
Walking down the street, I looked down and saw what appeared to be just another chicken wing on a ny street. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to by a squirrel leg. Brownsville Represent!

Jamaica!.......................Queens

Jamaica, Queens- August 2008
My work takes me to the outer boroughs of NY and as a result I run into a lot of distant neighborhoods. Needless to say these aren't the best neighborhoods, but then again in lets you see the other new york, away from all the bright lights.

And Junkies on the Train

G Train to Queens- August 2008
There's very few more disturbing things to sit next to or in front of, than junkies dealing with their crashes. This guys curled up into a ball and would repeatedly druel and spit a combination of blood and saliva for most of the train ride. As usual, all passengers avoided him. Me, I just sat in front and watched. Stay the fuck away from drugs kids.

This is not to say that all things in NY are gritty and nasty. This sunset over coney island was one of the nicest I've seen here. It's no sunset over the Carribean or Mexico, but its the most I can do.
